Bike, Hike, Sail & Snorkel
Availability: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Duration: 8.5 Hours (9-5:30p)
Pick up: Various Waikiki hotels or Kewalo Basin- 9am-9:20am
Shuttle: Complimentary van transportation for Bike and Hike portion only. You can park your car at Kewalo Basin and be picked up from there for Bike & Hike portion. Parking at Kewalo Basin is $1 an hour. If you do not have a rental car, you will need to take an Uber or Taxi back after the sail.
Waterfall Hike: Moderate 1.5 mile hike on private property to Ko’olau waterfall. Uneven terrain over rocks, dirt, and roots. Trail may be muddy.
Bike: 5 Mile downhill route on paved roads.
Tour Description: From Waikiki, our professional nature guide will shuttle you by van to a tropical rain forest in in the Ko’olau mountains. Then take a narrated nature 1.5 mile hike through the rainforest to discover a jungle stream with mountain pools and a cascading waterfall. You’ll hike back down the trail viewing the many tropical plants, flowers and trees. You’ll then be shuttled to the top of Pu’u ‘Ohia (Tantalus) where you’ll be outfitted with a KHS cruiser bike and Bell helmet and given safety instructions and practice laps before descending the 5-mile paved jungle road. You’ll stop half-way down at a scenic lookout for pictures and narrative. Once you reach the grassy park at the bottom, it’s a quick drive to Kewalo to board the 38.6ft catamaran. (Note: our complimentary transportation ends here. You will need to take a taxi back to Waikiki at your own expense). Swim fins and life jackets provided.
Views include:Ko’olau and Wai’anae Mountains, Le’ahi Crater (Diamond Head), Waikiki, Honolulu, Reef Runway, Ewa Beach, Makakilo, Red Hill.
Includes: Bike, helmet, rain poncho and mosquito repellant; snorkeling equipment.
Must Bring: Guests are urged to bring your own water and snacks! Wear closed toe shoes with good traction for dirt/mud, bring swim attire and towel, dress comfortable and bring a camera.
Restrictions: Riders must be minimum 4’0″ tall to ride the bike & demonstrate ability to ride. Tag-a-long trailer riders must be 3’5″ and max 85 pounds. Please wear closed toe shoes suitable for biking.
